If you need goods transported, picked up or delivered to a difficult access location, Dovetail can offer experience, care and professionalism. Transporting goods off road and recovering vehicles comes with a range of risks. Dovetail operates under a well informed risk management plan and is experienced at assessing and mitigating risks.
The Truck
We recover vehicles and transport goods using our Ex Military U1700 Unimog. A very capable (albeit slow) 4WD truck. We are able to access locations that other trucks can't. The vehicle's portal axles provide the Unimog with over half a meter of ground clearance, making for light work of a range obstacles that would see the average 4wd fail.
Service locations
Dovetail's recovery and off road transport service area is confined to the Mid North Coast of NSW and on agreement, the south coast of NSW. It's important to us that we know the off road areas we are servicing well. This allows for stronger risk management, knowledge of local tracks and potential challenges and allows us to have contingency plans in place should the unexpected occur.
